|Adrasteia Alexopoulos the Conqueror: Adrasteia was essentially a telepathic female counterpart of Alexander the Great. Unlike him her empire survived her death due to her ensuring a stable line of succession and developing her realm rather than continuing to endlessly conquer everything around her. Her telepathy helped a great deal in dealing with the various cultures and religious beliefs in her Empire and when stamping out minor rebellion and disloyalty while the Rhomanían Legionnaires dealt with the more serious rebellions and unrest. By all counts she was an excellent ruler and was loved by the majority of her people towards the end of her reign and was fairly benevolent although she removed the last traces of the old Rhomanian Senate and Hellenic Democracy from the Basileia Rhomaion.|
Outside of the empire she build up her reputation is rather negative and outside of scholarly and academic circles she is widely reviled as the Great Apostate or Antichrist for her role in the ultimate suppression and destruction of eastern christianity which has been supplanted by the pagan faith of Sol Invictus also known as Lux Invicta. Adrasteia and her mother Persephone were both extremely pious and religious women but Adrasteia went further than her mother ever did by aggressively stamping out two main competing faiths of Christianity and Islam, while Christianity survives in Europe Islam has been consigned to the waste bin of history outside of a few insignificant pockets in parts of Central Asia, South East Africa and Indonesia where it is a fairly recent arrival.
Early on during her wars of conquest Adrasteia faced serious opposition by well organised and well prepared forces that normally outnumber her own force 3 to one. All this amounted to nothing however as her superior strategic and tactical skills combined with telepathic sight and projection and the latest in military innovation ensured most battles ended in massacres for the opposition. During her later conquest entire populations often surrendered their cities without a fight and entire armies retreated in terror of their inevitable fate.
The one exception to this was her Italian conquest which while destructive ultimately ended in failure as Adrasteia decided to pull back as the price of taking the region was simply not worth it. Out of spite and religious hatred she burnt Rome to the ground in front of the Papacy and famously/infamously declared that "There is only one Rome and she is in the East". Needless to say several other cities suffered the same fate as she withdrew most infamously at Venice which she destroyed in a display of pyrokinesis so strong that the white hot fire continued to burn for several days before finally exhausting itself.
At home Adrasteia is widely regarded as the most important and successful Basilissa ever, even surpassing her mother who actually saved the Empire from a slow and lingering death. Her great works restored many cities long abandoned or destroyed such as Babylon and Susa and spread new and improved agricultural techniques across the empire ending the threat of starvation for centuries. While and absolute monarch she ruled fairly if firmly and appointed only the most loyal and qualified unto positions of power while utterly removing the last traces of the old aristocracy that continued to oppose her reforms. In addition to expanding/restoring the Theme system she forever established herself as a friend and protector of the Jews by inviting them back to the holy land where they were granted a high degree of autonomy and religious freedom due to a combination of sympathy for their persecution over the centuries and spite as such a move seriously pissed of the Catholic Church now based on Avignon in France. Shortly before her death she personally toppled the Dome of Rock and order the construction of a Third Temple.
Upon her death the throne passed to her granddaughter Isis rather than her eldest daughter Princess Atalanta Alexopoulos. Ultimately her direct descendants in the Alexopoulos dynasty lost the throne to descendants of Helen Constantinides "Adrasteia's second daughter" in a vicious and brutal civil war that put sister against sister, aunt against niece and cousin against cousin. The fighting devastated large swaths of Anatolian and the Levant and the telepathic duel that ended the war reduced much of Constantinople to ruins forcing Hera "Battleborn" Constantinides to move her court and capital to her birthplace of Alexandria where her closest relatives and loyalist were based.
